Leonardo Dicaprio Gives Chiwetel Ejiofor A Standing Ovation As He Loses Out On Best Actor Bafta

continue Leonardo lost out on a BAFTA on Sunday night (Splash News) The 12 Years a Slave champ was in the audience at Covent Garden's Royal Opera House for his big moment as Leo proved what a good sport he is by giving the actor a standing ovation and a rousing round of applause as he headed up Farrah Abraham sextape to the podium, along with most of the star-studded crowd. A bashful Chiwetel seemed url overwhelmed by the amazing reaction to his win as he thanked "my mother who is here and my father who is not here, I love you too", along with his director Steve McQueen and the all-star cast of the movie, which also scooped Best Picture. Leo proved to be one of the star attractions at the ceremony, as he was mobbed by fans waiting outside the Royal Opera House. Even host Stephen Fry admitting to being a fan, as he persuaded the dashing star to blow a kiss down the camera as he opened the show. Chiwetel Ejiofor with his BAFTA (WENN) With Leo losing out to Chiwetel at the British awards, the race for the Oscar on March 2 just got even more heated. The Best Actor category is already considered the most competitive of the bunch, with Dallas Buyers Club star Matthew McConaughey also in the frame (in place of Hanks) and considered a frontrunner along with Leo and now Chiwetel.
